Khatm Quran Programs Planned in Egypt Mosques Ahead of Month of Shaaban

IQNA – Major mosques in Egypt will host Khatm Quran (reciting the entire Quran) programs on the first day of the lunar Hijri month of Shaaban.

The country’s Awqaf Ministry said the programs will be organized in the main mosuqes in the capital Cairo as well as other major cities.

They will start after the morning prayers and continue until 10 AM, it said, el-Balad News reported.

All people interested in Quranic events can take part in the programs, the ministry added.

Shaaban, the eighth month of the Islamic lunar calendar which comes before the holy month of Ramadan, will start on Sunday.

The ministry further said that holding Quranic programs for children will continue in different provinces of Egypt.

It said the programs that feature teaching Quran recitation have been warmly welcomed by children and their families.
