Man Came to Complain Mosque Noise; Returned as Muslim (+Video)
Celebrating `Eid prayers on Saturday, Hussin Goss, chairperson of Cold Coast Mosque received a visit from an elderly man complaining about noise.
The man, who came from a nearby nursing home, was welcomed by Goss who took the chance to offer him some food and talk to him about Islam.
A few minutes later, the man decided to accept Islam, reciting the shahada among Muslims who came to celebrate `Eid Al-Fitr.
Goss is a well-known member of the Gold Coast’s Muslim community, having been the Islamic Society’s president for 29 years.
A few years ago, he was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Muslim Charitable Foundation for helping “make a difference in the lives of those less-fortunate”.
There are currently almost 10,000 Muslims living across the region, with about 1200 of them attending prayer at the mosque.
Goss shared another video on Instagram showing another man accepting Islam on the Night of Power, on Ramadan 27.
