It was part of the 33rd International Islamic Unity Conference, which is underway in Tehran.
The participants, discussed, among other things, Islamic unity, the importance of resistance in enhancing unity, promotion of the discourse of unity with the aim of liberating Al-Aqsa Mosque, and creating a world front against the US-proposed so-called “deal of Century”.
Sheikh Ahmed al-Qattan, head of Lebanon’s Word and Action Society was among the speakers at the meeting. He stressed the need for practical measures by Societies for Proximity in order to boost Islamic unity.
Themed “Ummah unity in defending the al-Aqsa Mosque,” the International Islamic Unity Conference will run until November 16, with 350 personalities from 93 countries in attendance.
Marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), it is held annually in an effort to lay the ground for stronger unity and solidarity among Muslims and provide solutions for their problems.
