According to a tale by Imam Husayn (p), a person who possesses five crucial characteristics becomes someone with whom others can connect. Such individuals contribute positively to human well-being, while those who do not possess these characteristics may struggle to find the goodness within themselves and fail to bring goodness to others.
The first characteristic is to possess a healthy intellect. This means basing actions on rationality and letting reason guide one's conduct. A perfect intellect is that which leads to the worship of God.
The second characteristic revolves around religion, comprising a set of values-based laws that dictate actions involving religious obligations and the avoidance of immoral acts. A person needs a solid religious foundation to achieve positive results for himself and others.
Courtesy is the third hallmark of a perfect human being. It is a precious characteristic that, if passed down from father to children, serves as a lasting legacy.
