The Arab country’s capital of Amman will host the contest, which is planned to run until Monday, April 3.
Zahra Qorbani will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Quranic event, according to Fars.
Ms Qorbani, who comes from the central city of Isfahan, had a brilliant performance in Iran’s national Quran competition in October.
The men’s section is slated for mid-June and Abuzar Karami
will be Iran’s representative at the event.
Last year, Iranian visually-impaired Quran memorizer Sama
Babaei won the top title in the women’s section of Jordan’s international Quran
competition.
