Dar-ol-Quran and Nabawi Sunnah Opens in Damascus

TEHRAN (IQNA) - A Dar-ol-Quran and Nabawi Sunnah was opened by Syrian minister of Awqaf on February 23 at Al-Fath Islamic Complex in Damascus.


According to Alwatan newspaper, the opening ceremony was attended by Muhammad Abdul Sattar Al-Sayyed, the minister, Hisamuddin Ferfour, supervisor of the complex, and Nuroddin Itr, scientific supervisor of the center.

Addressing the ceremony, the minister said that enemies' attacks against Syria have targeted Islam.

Islam is a religion of civilization, culture, benevolence and mercy and can never be separated from moral and human virtues, he added.

He said that the main objective of the center is to defend Islam against extremism.

Also speaking at the program, the supervisor of the complex stressed the importance and necessity of opening the center in the current situation in Syria and said that it is essential today to introduce the true image of Islam and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as a role-model for the world.

The scientific supervisor of the center was the other speaker at the program who elaborated on the history of the Syrian scholars’ services to the Holy Quran and dissemination of Nabawi Hadiths and stressed the importance of their role in raising generations based on Islamic principles.
