TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Custodian of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine says the unity among Muslims and Hindus was key to defeating colonialists, noting that plots are now underway to sow the seed of discord among these Indian groups.

“The unity and cooperation of Hindus and Muslims have been the key to the success and power of India and the global Arrogance seeks to continue its colonialism by promoting division in the country,” Hojat-ol-Islam Ahmad Marvi, Custodian of Imam Reza holy shrine, said on Monday.

He made the remarks in a meeting in Mashhad with a delegation of Muslim scholars from India and Bangladesh led by Shahi Imam of the Jamia Masjid in Delhi Syed Ahmed Bukhari.

Enemies of Islam led by the US, the UK, and the Israeli regime have always been afraid of the Muslim world’s power and unity, he said.

He also named Islamophobia as another strategy used by enemies to target Islam and Muslims. The global Arrogance created Daesh (ISIS or ISIL) to both pave the way for the killing of Muslims and to introduce Islam as a violent religion, he said.

For his part, Syed Ahmed Bukhari praised the good management of the shrine despite the large number of pilgrims.

“The aim of our trip to Iran is to meet with Iranian Muslim scholars and boost existing relations between Iranian and Indian Muslims,” he added.

The delegation met with Custodian of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) Mausoleum in Qom Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Saeidi on Thursday.
