225 Mosques in Tehran Join Vaccination Campaign
Hojat-ol-Islam Javad Sadeghzadeh, an advisor to Tehran Mayor and head of Tehran Municipality’s Center for Religious Activities, said as of Sunday, 10 portable vaccine stations will be stationed every night in selected mosques across Tehran to carry out inoculations after Isha prayers.
The program will continue till November 16 according to a determined scheduled.
The vaccination in mosques is part of the general program being performed by Tehran Municipality which is titled “Tehran will again come to life” which has started from October 23.
The plan also includes providing citizens with vaccines by 22 potable stations (buses), 22 metro stations, and 22 fixed stations.
According to the latest figures announced by Health Ministry, more than 48 million people have received their first dose of vaccine while some 24 million others have been fully vaccinated.
Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, and COVIran Barekat are the three main vaccines being used in Iran.
