TEHRAN (IQNA) – Bahraini scholars in a statement condemned the participation of rulers of some Muslim countries in a recent US-organized conference on Middle East in Poland.

The conference, held jointly by the US and Poland in Warsaw on February 13-14, has outraged observers in the Arab world who believe their leaders attended the conference merely as “extras” in a pre-planned scenario for normalization of Israeli-Arab ties.

In their statement, the Bahraini scholars described attempts at normalization of ties with the Zionist regime as treason, al-Lau Lau website reported.

They also underlined that the Arab rulers will get nothing but humiliation in their attempts to appease the US and Israel.

Last week, the International Union of Muslim Scholars also slammed the meeting of officials from several Arab countries with the Israeli Prime Minister at the Warsaw conference.

“International Union of Muslim Scholars accepts with sorrow the meeting of a large number of officials from Arab countries with the Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu who occupy their Holy Land, kill their children, blockade their cities and Judaize the Palestine and Jerusalem with the support of the US,” announced the Union in a written statement on Twitter Sunday.
