Iranian Quranic Officials in Iraq
Amir-ul-Qura has been designed based on the Iranian Tilawa plan for training skillful Quran reciters.
Hassan Najafi, the international affairs chief of Tilawa national plan is accompanying Moqaddamkia in the trip.
Moqaddamkia told Fars that Amir-ul-Qura plan is being held in Iraq for the second consecutive year.
He said that in this plan, 64 teenage Iraqi Qaris learn to recite the Quran in the styles of masters like Shahat Anwar, Abdul Basit and Minshawi from Egypt and Khalil Ismail from Iraq.
The visit to Iraq comes within the framework of an agreement signed a few years ago to promote Quranic cooperation between Iran and Iraq.
Quranic activities have significantly developed in Iraq since the 2003 overthrow of former dictator Saddam Hussein.
There has been a growing trend of Quranic programs such as competitions, recitation sessions and educational programs held in the country in recent years.
